Theo Nicole Lorenz was born in 1985, weighing only six pounds and yelling a lot. Now many pounds larger and holding an MFA in writing from Hamline University, Theo still yells a lot, though mostly at the Internet.
Theo makes coloring books and sometimes comics in St. Paul, MN. She is the creator of The Robot’s Guide to Love: a coloring book of romantic advice, The Apocalypse Coloring and Activity Book, Mer World Problems: a coloring book documenting hardships under the sea, Unicorns Are Jerks: a coloring book exposing the cold, hard, sparkly truth, and Fat Ladies In Spaaaaace: a body-positive coloring book.
At this year’s AMA-CON, Theo Nicole will host a coloring lounge for AMA-CON participants and present a workshop on How to Make Your Own Coloring Book! The workshop will aim to help folks of all artistic levels get started making coloring pages, whether they’re making them for themselves, their kids, or a coloring book to publish. She’ll talk about the wide variety of styles that coloring books come in, what to look for in coloring book art, and how to turn your own art into coloring pages. Doodling through this workshop is very encouraged!
Anita Grace Howard lives in the Texas panhandle, and is most at home weaving the melancholy and macabre into settings and scenes, twisting the expected into the unexpected. She’s inspired by all things flawed, utilizing the complex loveliness of human conditions and raw emotions to give her characters life, then turning their world upside down so the reader’s blood will race.
She is the author of the International and New York Times-bestselling Splintered series of books inspired by Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. Her new novel, RoseBlood, a Phantom of the Opera spinoff, will be released in January of 2017.
Joe Shine grew up in Austin, TX (the greatest city ever), and is a graduate of Texas A&M University.
